( CODE OF CONDUCT )
MICROWAVE takes part in Reddit through official accounts that state the brand behind them.
Before posting, we check Reddit's policies and the rules of each community.
We do not use fake accounts, bots or vote manipulation to raise views or upvotes.
How we operate
We state the brand behind each post so readers know who wrote it.
We do not write posts or reviews while posing as ordinary customers.
We do not post spam, and we do not manipulate upvotes or comment reactions.
The person in charge writes the posts and answers the questions.
We only post information that fits the community's topic and rules.
When we answer a customer's question, the explanation comes first.
Detailed principles
We post and reply from official accounts that name the company or brand.
We do not hide our affiliation in profiles or in posts.
Each subreddit allows promotion and link posting to a different extent.
We read the rules before taking part and follow the moderators' guidance and decisions.
We answer questions in the fields the brand knows well and give customers the information they need.
We manage the balance between information and brand mentions by the standard below.
We read Reddit's content policy and the community moderation guidelines and apply them to each campaign.
When a policy changes, we review our posting methods and operating plans again.
We do not use the methods below to raise post counts or reactions.
We do not take on campaigns that ask for this kind of work.
Operating process
We read the posting rules, moderator notices and existing posts and comments to see whether the brand can take part.
When the way to take part is unclear, we contact the community moderators where that is possible.
We set our posting method to match their answer and guidance.
Before a campaign starts, we explain to the client what we can do, which promotional methods to avoid, and how results will be measured.
Along with the number of posts published, we look at comment content, user reactions and karma changes.
We also look into why the numbers moved.
We answer relevant questions even when there is no chance to introduce the brand.
We share what we know and the expertise we have.
We check Reddit's policies and community rules on a regular basis.
We also review whether live posts and our way of working still fit those rules.
Upvotes and account standing
are decided by users and the platform.
Karma and upvotes depend on how users judge a post.
Post approval and account restrictions are decided by Reddit and the community moderators.
We work by the principles above and share the actual activity and the reactions it receives.
